EMPOWER Junior’s Encourages “tween” Girls to Live a Safety Influenced Lifestyle
The Edge Martial Arts,
April 16th,
2005—Area girl’s ages 12-15 will be complete their 4-hour Self Defense course
Sunday learning skills that are necessary to becoming, strong, empowered young
women in our community. The course
focuses on topics that are significantly impacting “tween”
girls at this point in their lives. Such topics are peer pressure, self esteem,
self confidence, flirting vs. harassment, babysitting safety, along with
others. This fun, energetic course takes
serious topics and discusses them in a safe, non-judgmental, supportive
environment where the girls are encouraged to be open about the issues that
they are facing. Taught by The Edge
Martial Arts Certified Black Belt Instructors, time is also spent learning
basic self defense techniques that are easy to perform and easy to
remember. By striking targets and
learning to hear their own voice, the girls are empowered to find their
inner-strength and natural intuition. For more information on upcoming
programs, visit our web-site at www.EmpowerMN.com.
