August 15th, 2009 was a good day for The Edge as it had 12 top 3 finishes out of 12 divisions with Sterling F. finishing 1st Place in his Traditional Forms division. Brothers Zack and Sam Koppa each placed in their division in their first tournament attempt. Ms. Kari Falaas of Team Edge was able to claim top spots in all three of her divisions and Stephani L. was able to take home 2 placings as well.
Mr. Abboud and Master Thorn would go on to put on a great show in their Black Belt sparring divisions with Master Thorn going on to win Grand Champion for the 2nd year in a row finishing off the win with a cartwheel kick to his opponents head to score the final 2 points.
The day was wrapped up with Team Edge (Mr. Abboud and Master Thorn) winning an exhibition Tag Team Sparring Division. |
